Breezing into the Enchanting Wadi

  

   Close your eyes and imagine that you're in a warm desert and at the foot of a long valley surrounded by palm trees and rugged cliffs towering into the sky... and it brings to mind the fairytale setting of the Arabian Nights.

   Open, Sesame!

   Step inside the Wadi Shab and immerse yourself in one of its emerald green water ponds or idyllic landscape or just wind your way through the gorge deep inside to see where this natural wonder end/begin at...

   For us Goans what is more tempting than this to spread out our picnic mats...

Rollin’ down the newly-built Muscat-Sur highway

Sinkhole on the way... very inviting on a hot day

...on the doorstep

Inside... the cool ambiance

...the natural grandeur

As the sun goes down... the villagers return

with the fodder for their goats & donkeys



Gulf of Oman... provides gentle breeze and the water
when the wadi is running low on it, and a route
